IT Support Apprentice
Salary: circa £16,328 per annum
Full Time: 40 hours per week
Based at Albert Road Depot, Bristol

THE ROLE: You will be the first point of contact for ICT enquiries and work with a diverse range of customers, technologies and devices, solving problems and finding solutions to IT issues.
You will learn to resolve basic technical issues, troubleshooting and provide first line fixes for desktop, laptop, tablets, mobiles and Business Applications. You will have a professional approach with excellent communication skills. You will be working as part of a team to manage your own workload, playing a key role in ensuring users can access core ICT services.

Requirements: It is essential to have 5 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent including Maths and English; experience working in a customer facing role, working with a diverse range of customers; an aptitude for logical reasoning and problem solving; excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to a diverse range of customers; the ability follow processes and document work effectively; take ownership of delivery of wok to agreed service levels and standards; the ability to undertake basic investigation of issues with a problem-solving approach and an interest in IT combined with the ability to learn new skills and a willingness to commit to a structured Professional Learning Plan.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing IT support as part of a team, have a GCSE in IT, have demonstratable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows and have experience applying software upgrades and have the knowledge of how to roll back from unsuccessful upgrades.
