This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an excellent understanding of the built environment and would like to work in an area where you can make a real difference to people who are experiencing difficulties accessing their homes.
Accessible Homes and TEC Hub is multi-disciplinary team based in Homes and Landlord Services division of Bristol City Council. The team consists of Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Aides, Caseworkers, TEC Assessors, Technicians and Project Coordinators. We work in social, owner-occupied, private rented sector housing and cover the whole City.
In your role as a Clerk of Works you will work closely with colleagues to oversee and monitor contractor performance on a range of works from carrying out repairs to installing adaptations for example, level access showers and external works.
You will be inspecting works in progress ensuring the specification of works for the required adaptation is/are followed.
You will also ensure that standard and workmanship of these works in progress are satisfactory and where necessary alter/change specification if deemed necessary to the situation on site when inspecting these works.
