Bristol City Council operates a Sustainable Travel Engagement Team on behalf of the West of England Unitary Authorities (UAs) made up of South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset. This work is part of the sustainable travel behaviour change programme which has been integral to the West of England’s sustainable transport offer since 2011.
As a Travel Adviser you would work as part of a skilled team engaging with the public and encouraging people to travel more sustainably.
You will be required to work in various locations across the four UAs, actively managing the promotion of sustainable transport at workplaces, events, schools, in communities and residential settings, both indoors and out.
The role is for 12 hrs per week. The days you may be working are flexible and will include some weekend as well as weekdays.
We are looking to fulfil three Travel Advisor roles, so if you’re interested in sustainable transport, enjoy engaging with the public and working as part of a team.
