An exciting opportunity has arisen in the specialist safeguarding team for two Social Workers in Adult Social Care for Bristol City Council.
The Safeguarding Adult’s Team works across the whole city, promoting the wellbeing and safety of adults who may be experiencing abuse and neglect.
You would be responsible for making decisions on the Local Authorities legal duty to make enquires or take action under the Care Act (2014) and in line with safeguarding principles. Your decisions would include the application of other legislation including the Mental Capacity Act (2005), the Human Rights Act (1998) and GDPR Regulations.
You will provide safeguarding adults advice to professionals both internally and externally with a focus on a risk assessment, strengths-based person-centred practice and collaborative working.
You would have the full support of an established team who have previously supported ASYE applicants as well as more established Social Workers. You will receive the training and development required to build on your knowledge and skills in safeguarding to enable you to work at pace with a strong focus on making safe and defensible decisions.
What do I need to have?
You must have a social work qualification (or due to receive) and be registered with Social Work England (or due to once qualification is complete).

There is opportunity for career progression as an AMHP, a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) and we offer a range of apprenticeships to support career advancement.
We are looking for a flexible and dynamic person who is able to work in a fast-paced team.
You will have a strong professional value base and be able to represent social work values and the voice of the service-user in an inter-agency multi-disciplinary team.

This is a Full Time role, 37 hours per week and is a permanent contract. Your working days will be Monday- Friday.
