Do you have a background in supporting businesses or experience in business? Are you interested in innovation, entrepreneurship and supporting start-ups and SMEs? Do you have experience of working collaboratively, engaging with partners and developing and implementing marketing campaigns to reach diverse audiences? If so we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to lead the newly formed Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) in Bristol.
You will manage a small team and support the establishment of the BIPC at Bristol Central Library and the roll-out of business support services across the Bristol Libraries city-wide network, liaising with teams as appropriate and ensuring that services are widely promoted and used.
As part of a national project led by the British Library, Bristol Libraries has received funding for two years to join the national BIPC network and establish a BIPC.
The Business & IP Centre will support start-up businesses and entrepreneurs across Bristol to develop the insight, skills and confidence they need to start and grow successful businesses.
The Business Engagement and Marketing Manager will focus on building strategic partnerships with business support organisations and key local stakeholders as well as building relationships with the business community and potential users of the service.
This role will lead the BIPC team to deliver positive outcomes for aspiring entrepreneurs, local business start-ups and SMEs.
The Business Engagement & Marketing Manager will work closely with the British Library central marketing team to plan and execute local marketing strategies and campaigns, to increase awareness and use of the BIPC and its region-wide services by entrepreneurs and SMEs, and ensure that the service attracts diverse audiences with the successful delivery of workshops, webinars, one-to-one clinics and events.
This is fixed term post until March 31st 2023
