We have an exciting opportunity for a person interested in pursuing a career in property to work in the asset strategy team within our Property Division.
You will provide support to the Property Partners in the management of the Council’s operational property estate and in the delivery of property related solutions to requirements identified in Asset Management Plans.
Bristol City Council has a large and diverse property portfolio and is the largest land owner in the City. We have an exciting opportunity for a person interested in pursuing a career in property to work in the asset strategy team within our Property Division.
As a member of a small team, you will provide day to day support and assistance to Property Partners with the management of the Council’s operational property estate. In practice this involves implementing the emerging Property Strategy and identifying property related solutions to requirements identified in Service Asset Management Plans. The aim is to reduce premises running costs and maximise efficiencies across the Council’s operational and third sector portfolios.
We are looking for someone with some experience of working in a property related environment and an understanding of property management and valuation methods who is either a full member of the RICS or studying for a property related qualification on a course that is approved by the RICS with a view to becoming a full member.
The post is a career graded post and progression through the career grade is dependent upon the complexity of the work being undertaken and the experience / qualification of the post holder. This will be assessed against documented criteria on an annual basis.
