This is an exciting opportunity to gain excellent customer service, admin skills and experience within the Client and Carer Finance Team.
What the team does:
The Financial Protection Team form part of Client and Carer Financial Services (CCFS). They are a dynamic and exciting team that provide an excellent finance service to vulnerable citizens, helping to manage their, billing and payments.
The role: You will assist and support the Financial Protection team in the provision of expertise and a high-quality financial service to our most vulnerable citizens. Day to day work will be varied and interesting. In a typical day, the work could consist of;
Contributing to the maintenance of financial records within Financial Protection and the wider team of Client and Carer Finance.
Running reports and updating records.
Responding to telephone and email enquiries and resolving routine matters at the point of contact with colleagues and members of the public to answer their enquiry.
To carry out financial transactions within various systems – this will be updating finance records, identifying and querying missing or inaccurate records and to process data in time for processing deadlines.
To provide documentation and information with attention to detail.
To carry out data input as required - updating and amending finance records.
To contribute to process improvements or better ways of working.
The job offers an opportunity to gain skills in:
Time management: Working to a deadline driven environment.
Admin skills: Responding to emails, writing up notes on the system.
Customer service skills: Speaking to customers on the telephone and actioning their financial requests and helping them with their queries. Responding to service users and other healthcare professionals via e-mail.
Teamwork: Working closely with others to resolve queries.
This role will provide an insight to the Adult Social Care function within Bristol City Council.
This programme last 18 months with 3-6 months for the End point Assessment.
Applying for an apprenticeship
To apply for an adult apprenticeship you must be aged 16 years or over, at the start of employment with qualifications in English and Maths. If you do not have these, then you must be prepared to study for the Function Skills Level 2 in both subjects alongside your apprenticeship.
