Are you interested in helping people to start and grow their small businesses?
We are looking for a motivated individual to join the team of the newly formed Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) in Bristol.
You will have knowledge of business information resources and/or intellectual property and an interest in supporting entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds.
You will have good reference/enquiry-handling skills from experience gained in a public-facing environment and/or professional training.
You will be able to deliver workshops and one-to-one support (both face-to-face and online) directly to customers.
As part of a national project led by the British Library, Bristol Libraries has received funding for two years to join the national BIPC network and establish a BIPC.
The Business & IP Centre will support start-up businesses and entrepreneurs across Bristol to develop the insight, skills and confidence they need to start and grow successful businesses.
This role will sit in the Business & IP Centre team at Bristol Central Library and will to deliver a portfolio of services which enable entrepreneurs and small or medium sized enterprises (SMEs) from all walks of life to utilise the BIPC collections and resources, to set up and run a successful business.
This role will deliver day-to day core Business & IP Centre services to the public, including workshops, webinars and events, one-to-one clinics (both face-to-face and online), and respond to business information and intellectual property enquiries from customers.
This is fixed term post until March 31st 2023
