A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Apprentice you will work in partnership with colleagues in Communities and Public Health, the Council and other organisations to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Bristol. This is a 3 year apprenticeship training programme to become a Public Health Practitioner gaining a BSc in Public Health (Hons). It is a unique opportunity to earn while you learn and we welcome an enthusiastic, dedicated team member committed to studying towards a degree level. We welcome applications with local community knowledge from within Bristol.
As a Public Health Apprentice you will work in partnership with colleagues in Communities and Public Health, the Council and other organisations to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Bristol. You will also support the planning, delivery and evaluation of public health initiatives.
You will work in specified areas of public health and across portfolio areas in line with the learning on the degree programme and the business need.
You will work across the three domains of public health as and when required:
To carry out this role successfully you will need to have good communication skills with strong interpersonal skills as you will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. An understanding of health inequalities and a willingness to develop your knowledge in this area is a must.
Applying for an apprenticeship
To apply for an adult apprenticeship you must be aged 16 years or over, at the start of employment. You will need to have studied to A’level with evidence in English and Maths GCSE (grade C, or equivalent) or functional skills level 2.
