Reopening High Streets – Business Engagement & Communications Officer.
A Full Time/6 month fixed term post has been created to support the Re-opening of High Streets during the Coronavirus pandemic. The post is funded through the Government’s Reopening High Streets Safely Fund (supported by the European Regional Development Fund).
We are looking for an individual who has experience of working with high street businesses and business group (e.g. traders associations, Business West, Federation of Small Businesses).
You will visit a number of high streets within Bristol, engage with businesses within those areas and identify issues that may be barriers to the successful re-opening of high streets or for groups of businesses. The successful applicant will work with a number of internal Council departments including Regulatory Services, Public Health, Highways and Planning to keep informed of any changes to Council or Government policy and provide information gathered through their work.
We are looking for someone to start this post immediately.

This role can only be taken as a secondment if you are a permanent Bristol City Council employee or if you are on a fixed term contract that will last longer than this post.
