A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual who is looking to develop their administration and customer service skills. Bristol City Council’s translation and interpreting team are seeking a proactive individual to support the day-to-day management of translation and interpreting booking requests. We will be offering a 24 month contract to complete this 18 month programme plus end point assessment.
What will I be doing? – You will be working with a small team whose primary objective is to manage translation and interpreting booking requests from other Bristol City Council departments and external organisations.
You will provide administrative support to the team and the service. You will use our booking portal to ensure booking requests can be fulfilled within agreed deadlines. You will regularly communicate with customers by telephone and email. You will coordinate telephone interpreting calls.
What do I need to have? – You will need excellent customer service skills including the ability to communicate across different channels, telephone, email, SMS and face-to-face.
You will need to be able to multitask and meet deadlines.
You will have a good understanding of technology, including email, word processing and internet/browser.
Applying for an apprenticeship
To apply for an adult apprenticeship, you must be aged 16 years or over, at the start of employment with qualifications in English and Maths. If you do not have these, then you must be prepared to study for the Function Skills Level 2 in both subjects alongside your apprenticeship.
